We had a very successful 2023 SAARA National Championship that was hosted by KZN on 6 and 7 October 2023. The match was very well attended and the three atletes who represented South Africa at the African Shooting Championships returned just in time to take part.
 
The 2022 National champions for the various disciplines are:

Thanks to KZN and Martitzburg Collage for hosting a fantastic event, the SAARA exco who assisted and worked in the background to make sure everything is ready, the officials on the range and working in the stats office that kept thing going. A special thanks to the provinces, athletes and parent for your participation and support.
 
Congratulations to all the winners and participants for the excellent sportsmanship. You can all be proud of your achievements at the match and throughout the year in preparation for Nationals.

2023 OVL 01

Suné Boshoff is now making a habit of breaking records.  Suné set a new SAARA National Junior Ladies record in the 10M Olympic discipline at the 2023 ISSF Junior World Cup in Suhl, Germany on 5 June 2023. Suné scored a 617.4 in the decimal scoring system. Congratulations on this excellent performance under tough international conditions. Keep up the hard work, you are a great ambassador for the sport and we are all very proud of you.

Congratulations to the following athletes who qualified for selection to the SAARA junior team that will represent South Africa at the ISSF Junior World Cup in Suhl, Germany from 1 – 12 June 2023.
